CoFounderHunt is pseudonymous, not anonymous. Publish under a pseudonym. Share professional identity only when both sides agree. Public content and links may still identify you.

ConsentKeys identity

ConsentKeys handles your sign-in. CoFounderHunt receives a stable pseudonymous identifier, pseudonym, and, where needed, a relay address—not your real login email. Those values establish account ownership; they do not verify your real-world identity.

Public and restricted information

A public listing can include skills, venture or founder narrative, stage, exact traction figures—including the user counts, MRR, and capital figures you enter—proof, selected public links, coarse location, availability, and expectations. These exact figures may be public. Real names, direct email, LinkedIn, calendar, phone, precise location, and other direct contact details remain restricted and are stored separately. For each intro, both founders consent to specific field selections; acceptance is not consent to reveal every identity field. Public listing queries do not return restricted contact fields.

Drafts before sign-in

An unfinished pre-sign-in draft stays in your browser rather than the CoFounderHunt database. It is cleared after successful publication, when you choose Clear draft, or after 30 days. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to see it.

Analytics

We use self-hosted PostHog through logs.petrichorlabs.ca for a small set of manual onboarding events. We do not use autocapture or session recording. Analytics never receive draft contents, draft text, URLs, contact values, identity fields, pseudonyms, clicked text, or storage contents. We use these events only to find funnel failures, not for advertising or resale.

Security boundary

Public listings should be treated as public. Restricted contact details are kept outside public listing responses. No system can promise zero risk, so we minimize what we store and use ConsentKeys relay addresses instead of real email wherever possible.

Deletion

You can remove a public listing through onboarding and delete your CoFounderHunt account and associated marketplace data from the protected Account page. Account deletion does not delete your separate ConsentKeys account. Legacy PayRails or order records may be retained or detached where required. It cannot erase information from other users' memories or recall contact information they already viewed. You can clear a local draft with Clear draft. For help, email support@petrichorlabs.ca.
