Is CoFounderHunt anonymous?
Not necessarily. You publish under a ConsentKeys pseudonym, and your direct contact details stay restricted. However, information you choose to publish—such as your company, product links, experience, location, or writing—may identify you. We call this pseudonymous, not anonymous.
What does ConsentKeys share with CoFounderHunt?
ConsentKeys gives CoFounderHunt a stable pseudonymous account identifier and, where needed, a relay address. CoFounderHunt does not receive your real login email from ConsentKeys.
What information is public?
Your founder listing may include your skills, venture description, stage, exact traction figures—including the user counts, MRR, and capital figures you enter—proof of work, public links, coarse location, availability, and compensation expectations. These exact figures may be public, and you preview them before publishing.
What stays private?
Your real name, direct email, LinkedIn, calendar, phone number, precise location, and other direct contact details remain restricted. For each intro, both founders consent to specific field selections; accepting does not reveal every identity field.
Can my public listing still identify me?
Yes. A product URL, company name, GitHub repository, detailed biography, or specific accomplishments may identify you. The app shows exactly what will become public before publication so you can remove anything you do not want exposed.
What happens to information entered before sign-in?
Your unfinished draft stays in your browser and is not published or sent to the CoFounderHunt database. It is removed after successful publication, when you select Clear draft, or after 30 days. Anyone using the same browser profile may be able to see the draft.
What would be exposed if CoFounderHunt were breached?
Public listings should already be treated as public. Restricted contact details are stored separately and are never returned by public listing queries. No system can promise zero risk, so CoFounderHunt minimizes what it stores and uses ConsentKeys relay addresses instead of real email wherever possible.
Does CoFounderHunt track draft contents?
No. Analytics may record that an onboarding step was started or completed, but never the text, URLs, identity fields, or other answers entered into the draft.
Can I delete my information?
Yes. Use onboarding to remove a public listing, or the protected Account page to delete your CoFounderHunt account and associated marketplace data. This does not delete your ConsentKeys account. Legacy PayRails or order records may be retained or detached where required. Deletion cannot erase information from other users' memories or recall contact information already viewed.
